mystic, connected with the mysteries , μ. Ἴακχος the mystic chant Iacchus, (Herdotus Historicus); τὰ μ. the mysteries , (Thucydides):—; χοιρία μ., in (Aristophanes Comicus), are probably wretched lean pigs, such as the μύσται were wont to offer. (ML)
