גֵּרָא proper name, masculine (Phoenician גרא) son of Benjamin 1 Mos 46,21 (lacking 4 Mos 26,38–40); son of Bela`, & grandson of Benjamin, according to 1 Kron 8,3; 1 Kron 8,5 compare v1 Kron 8,7 designation of a Benjamite family or clan; hence Ehud called בֶּןגֵּֿרָא Dom 3,15, & so Shimei, 2 Sam 16,5; 2 Sam 19,17; 2 Sam 19,19; 1 Kong 2,8.
