with radical sense round about (as distinct from ἀμφί, on both sides).

I. C. genitive,

1. of place, about (poët.).

2. Causal, about, on account of, concerning, in reference to: Matt 2,8, Mark 1,44, Luk 4,38, Joh 16,26, ApG 28,21, al. mult.; τὰ περί, with genitive, the things concerning one, one's state or case: Mark 5,27, ApG 1,3; 28,15, Ef 6,22, al.; at the beginning of a sentence, περί, regarding, as to, 1 Kor 7,1, al.; in the sense on account of (Matt 26,28, 1 Kor 1,13, al.), often with ὑπέρ as variant (cf. M, Pr., 105).

II. C. accusative,
