1. load (object omitted) upon (עַל) ass 1 Mos 44,13 (E), Neh 13,15 so absolute Neh 4,11, literally, si vera lectio (see BeRy Ryle); but read probably חֲמֻשִׁים RyKau.
2. carry a load Sl 68,20 (׳י, for (ל) his people), carry as a load Zak 12,3 (figurative), passive Es 46,1 (literal), vEs 46,3 (figurative).
**Hiph`il Perfect 3 masculine singular הֶעְמִיס 1 Kong 12,11 load upon (accusative of thing + עַל person) = 2 Kron 10,11.
