אֱמוּנָה

1. literally firmness, steadiness: 2 Mos 17,12 ׳וַיְהִי יָדָיו א his hands were steadiness (i.e. steady). 2. stead-fastness, אֱמוּנַת עִתֶּיךָ steadfastness of thy times Es 33,6. 3. faithfulness, trust:

It is closely associated with the divine חֶסֶד mercy Sl 89,25; Sl 92,3; Sl 98,3; Hos 2,22 with the divine צדֶק, צְדָקָה Sl 96,13; Sl 143,1; Es 11,5 & salvation Sl 40,11.
