מִשְׁפְּתַ֫יִם noun [masculine] dual probably fire-places or ash-heaps (namely, of the villages or encampments of the tribe) (> Ki Thes and most sheepfolds, see Stu^Ju); — בֵּין הַמִּשְׁפְּתַ֫יִם Dom 5,16 (poem; compare GFM); so (תָּ֑יִם-) 1 Mos 49,14 (poem in J).
